Description

A fantastic and increasingly nostalgic piece of Manchester City memorabilia from a very different period in the club’s history.

This is an original 2004–06 Manchester City Reebok home shirt, complete with its original retail price tag and manufacturer tags still attached. This is not a modern reproduction, retro remake or replica of the original design – it is a genuine shirt produced during the period.

The Reebok design was worn across both the 2004/05 and 2005/06 campaigns, making it the last Manchester City home shirt to be used for two consecutive seasons before the club moved towards changing its home kit every campaign.

What makes this particular example even more collectible is that it has been personally signed by 16 Manchester City players from the era, including popular names such as Paul Bosvelt, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Richard Dunne.

It represents a fascinating period of City’s history – long before the trophies and superstars that would follow, when players such as Wright-Phillips and captain Richard Dunne became huge favourites with supporters and the club was establishing itself in its new home following the move from Maine Road.

The combination of an original period shirt, its original tags still attached and 16 player signatures makes this a unique piece of Manchester City memorabilia and a fantastic snapshot of the mid-2000s.

Condition

Please note that there is some cracking to the Thomas Cook sponsor, consistent with the age and nature of the original shirt printing. Please refer carefully to the accompanying photographs for its overall condition.

The shirt is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity and provenance, providing confidence in the history of the signatures.

A brilliant piece for any supporter who remembers this era of Manchester City and an unusual addition to any serious City shirt, autograph or memorabilia collection.
