Rare original Manchester City Kappa player-issued training shorts from the 1997–98 season – the first campaign of the club’s now highly collectible Kappa era.

These official Kappa training shorts were issued to the Manchester City playing staff for training use during the 1997–98 campaign and represent a fantastic surviving piece of the club’s original Kappa training range.

This particular pair was obtained directly from a Manchester City player by Mark and comes complete with a letter of provenance, documenting its direct player connection and history.

The late-1990s Kappa era has become increasingly sought after by Manchester City and football shirt collectors, with genuine player-issued training pieces considerably more difficult to find than commercially available replica kit.

Condition: Please note that there is a tear to the side of the shorts, clearly shown in photograph 3. This is an original period item that was issued for player use, and the tear forms part of its present condition. Please study the photographs carefully before purchasing.
